Web Soil Survey - Download Soil Data

Click here to access to the website Web Soil Survey.

Area of interest - Upload your watershed shapefile

1. In Area of Interest (AOI) tab, go to Area of Interest | Import AOI | Create AOI from Shapefile
2. Upload the .shp, .shx, .prj files of your watershed shapefile
3. The watershed will be displayed on a map.

To download the Hydrologic Soil Group shapefile

1. Go to Soil Data Explorer tab.
2. Soil Properties and Qualities tab.
3. Properties and Qualities Ratings | Soil Physical Properties | Soil Qualities and Features | Hydrologic Soil Group
4. Click on View Rating.

Now you can see the table of the Hydrologic Soil Group and its Description.

On the top-right corner of the webpage, click on the Add to Shopping Cart button.  Click on it to add it to the list of files you are going to download.

To download a report with all the Soil Physical Properties 

1. Go to Soil Data Explorer tab.
2. Soil Reports tab.
3. Soil Reports | Soil Physical Properties | Engineering Properties
4. Click on View Soil Report.
5. On the top-right corner of the webpage, click on Add to Shopping Cart.

Download all the material from the Shopping Cart (Free)

To proceed with the download of the files, go to Shopping Cart (Free) and then click to Check Out.
